Brio’s Thomas the Tank Engine (and all trains) were a HUGE part of our family when my oldest son was little. On his second Christmas, I had a battery operated toy train track around my tree. He sat in his little zippered footed pajamas and watched the train whirl around the track again and again. A few years later, on his third or fourth Christmas, Santa brought him a ‘train table’ with wooden tracks and trains. He spent the entire day playing with it. Best Christmas ever. That was 15-16 years ago. Thousands of dollars later, I have miles of wooden track and probably a hundred wooden trains in my attic that I just can’t bear to part with. Today is his 19th birthday and when I see a train, I will always think of him. Happy Birthday Matthew.
