I will again be participating in Leslie Saeta’s 30 paintings in 30 days challenge in September. This will be the third time I have joined this group of over 1000 painters who use this effort to refocus on a daily painting practice. Each time I have done this challenge in my own way. What I mean by that, is I don’t always paint 30 paintings, but I paint daily or almost daily. I like to paint larger canvases, so daily painting isn’t always a good fit for me. I will be painting every day, but will likely not share those paintings until a have a completed series the end of September. I’d like to focus on the daily painting process, rather than the daily painting production and complete a series of fewer but larger paintings, with some smaller ones interspersed.
Along with the 30 day challenge, I will also be having a 30 day sale to clear out some inventory and make room for new work. Each day in the month of September I will be featuring a painting that will be 50 percent off its original price. Some of these are on my Etsy site and others will be from my website. Either way, I’ll be posting the direct link and the discount code along with the art. I might post these on my blog but my focus will be on Instagram, so follow me there to see some whimsical and coastal themed paintings at a very good price. @barefootstudios .
As if this isn’t exciting enough, I will also be collaborating with my dear friend, Kim Dawes, of Kim Dawes Yoga to add a dose of daily inspiration along with the featured painting. Follow her on Instagram at @kimdawesyoga.
