5 HOME DECOR BLOGS TO READ NOW
Looking for some home decor inspiration? A round up of my favorite home decor blogs.
I love a good home decor magazine and subscribe to several, but I also love to read blogs about interior design, color, and design trends. I paint from my heart, but it’s also good to know what’s in style and what’s new to stay current.
My 100 Year Old Home
Leslie Saeta’s home decor blog is about her home in California, which she and her husband purchased from her in-laws. They traded houses several years ago, and she has redecorated her home for their family. Her blog is about creating a home that welcomes family and friends and about creating gatherings throughout her home. She also writes about remodeling her beach house, which I followed play-by-play.
The Englishroom
What I love about interior designer Holly Hollingsworth Phillip’s blog is her eclectic and colorful style. As an artist, I love some color! And Holly does it well. She blogs about interior design, shopping, wallpaper, and, my favorite – art! She is inspired by ‘travel, design, and life.’ Well, me too!
Delphinium Design
Jena Bula is a Charlotte interior designer with a background in fashion. She blogs about interior design favorites, color trends, and provides ‘how-tos’ like choosing cabinet hardware. I also like her holiday gift guide. She shares suggestions for choosing paint colors and other home decor tips as well as he current design projects. Don’t you love a ‘before and after?’
Miss Mustard Seed
Marian Parsons (aka Miss Mustard Seed) writes about all things creative. Her blog focuses on the home and is currently about her kitchen renovation and other home decor subjects. But I also enjoy reading her posts about running a creative business. She is also an artist, so she writes about that too! She has some fascinating antique art supplies, which is fascinating to me as an antique lover.
Bleu Bee Designs
Brittany Zimmerman is the owner and principal designer at Bleu Bee Designs. She blends antiques and modern furnishings in a light-hearted way in her interior design business. I love that in addition to being a home decor blog she supports and writes about creative entrepreneurs (a woman after my own heart). It’s interesting to read about how various women have followed their creative dreams, whether in interior design, art, weaving rugs, or styling homes.
