Twice a year, artist Leslie Saeta, hosts a 30 paintings in 30 days challenge. You may also be participating?

For me, it’s mostly a way to create DEADLINES for myself, produce a larger body of work, and maybe even PLAY a little.

It helps to get back into the ROUTINE of painting after the holidays. The challenge is usually held in January. This year it takes place in February, which is nice, as there is a little more time to plan a theme or pull together reference photos.

If you are interested in seeing more, I’ll be posting them here throughout the month and also on my Instagram feed.

I’m also working on some larger pieces, so I may not complete 30 paintings in 30 days, but I’ll get pretty close.
