CHANGING TIDES & ACCEPTANCE.
This series of new coastal artwork is called ‘CHANGING TIDES’ is about accepting life CHANGES and appreciating the constants, and the new challenges and OPPORTUNITIES they bring.
I’m sitting here on the beach with my sketchbook and my toes in the sand. The light is low and the shadows are long, as we move towards the end of the day, the end of summer. The kids are back in school, but the air feels warm.
Change can be difficult, whether your babies are now in kindergarten, you’re moving to a new city or a new job, or in my case, our boys have left for college. I’m adjusting to my newfound freedom, space, restlessness, and a SENSE OF PURPOSE. Trying to let go of worry and fear and let them spread their wings. Allowing space for the changes to settle in, wash over me, and figure out what’s next.
I wrote this before Hurricane Florence showed up. Once again, I’ll be donating 20% of sales of this collection of new coastal artwork to HURRICANE RELIEF. I like this organization as 100% of the donations go to the victims. If you are so inclined, you may also donate here.
Here’s the new COLLECTION.
