I WON! GOSLEEP MASK & PILLOW ART
I won! I submitted my art for a mask and pillow set for GoSleep. If you aren’t familiar with them, go check out their site. Their patented travel kit includes a mask which blocks light and keeps your head in place and a plush memory foam pillow. When we all get to travel again, I can’t wait to use it!
They wrote the nicest article about me, so I’m going to take a moment and share it. I’m honored to have my work selected and I love the way it turned out. Read it here at their GoSleep blog, or see below:
GoSleep Blog:
Back in May, we held an “Art Contest” hoping it would inspire those stuck at home to get out their brushes, pens and mousepads and get their creative juices flowing. Our plan was/is to use the art on a mask and pillow set when we are able to start manufacturing again….you see our factory has been closed and has been making protective equipment for first responders and frankly, we needed some inspiration too!
We were thrilled to see so many beautiful entries, we even received one that was stitched on fabric! The selection was tough but one artist stole our hearts.
Our CEO and Fearless Leader, has a “thing” for Hawaii, Palm Springs and anything with Palm Trees and drinks and Pamela Wingard AKA Barefoot Studios, NAILED IT! We instantly fell in love and thought her work was worth sharing with our fellow travel buff’s!
Upon digging deeper, we discovered that Pamela is an adventurer at heart, she treasures travel with her family and creates art that reflects how those places and moments make her feel.
“Imagine your home filled with stylish art from your well-traveled life.”
That is a quote from her website which sums up what she’s all about. Her art is colorful, happy, and inspired by places that she’s been or dreams of going.
One look at her artwork will make you sigh and immediately think of somewhere you’ve been and long to get back to. Her daily Instagram feed will get you through the week with a smile and will immediately lift your spirits, her Friday Posts usually include a glass of wine in the photo (and who doesn’t love that)
“I paint to capture an emotion, the ‘feel’ of a place, whether a marsh, a vineyard, or the ocean. The beauty of nature makes me feel peaceful and close to God. I enjoy being outdoors and travel has always been an important part of my life, so I attempt to reflect that on my canvas”
CAN’T GET ENOUGH?
Neither Can We!
