NEW COASTAL ART COLLECTION: SEA OF TRANQUILITY
This new coastal art collection, “Sea of Tranquility,” will be available this Friday, March 17th, at 10 AM ET through Barefoot Living™.
In this busy, productive world we live in, sometimes we need quiet. I often find that in nature. This coastal art collection is inspired by the serenity nature brings into our lives when we take the time to enjoy and appreciate it.
I was inspired as I drove across the bridges of the Lowcountry, surrounded by lush marshes, water, and blue sky.
Our family has an old tradition that I borrowed from my friend Kim. We roll down the windows each time we drive over the bridge to our favorite island destinations. We take in the fresh salt air, and our coastal vacation truly begins. I don’t know about the rest of my family, but I sigh, my breathing slows, and I relax when I cross that bridge.
As I thought about this, it reminded me of that easy groove we get into when we spend time outside, whether in a lawn chair in the backyard or on an island somewhere. It inspired this new coastal art collection.
As a child, I spent a lot of time outside near the water. We lived in the midwest, not the coast, so it was a river we were nearby, but it was still serene. My grandmother would fish all afternoon, but my grandfather and I chose to lie in the nearby hammocks. I read books for hours, but I’m pretty sure he mostly napped in his hammock. Now I spend more time at the ocean, but the water still reminds me of the tranquility of my childhood and the peace that being near the water brings us.
That feeling of being near the water inspired this new ‘”Sea of Tranquility” coastal art collection. It will be available via Barefoot Living™.
Each Barefoot Living™ collection contains small original works in various sizes, painted on gallery-depth canvas. The series includes minis, ‘shelfie sizes’ to sit on a bookshelf, and small canvases for hanging. All work is unframed but fits in standard-size frames.
